Victoria Lynn Walsnovich (Vicky) of 2871 Walter Drive NW, Concord NC passed away at home Friday, September 4, 2026 after a long struggle with heart issues. She also had three strokes, you know, as she would remind everyone ad nauseam any time she made a mistake of any kind.
She was predeceased by her loving parents, Dolly and Milo Walsnovich. She is survived by her two siblings, brother Michael Walsnovich and his husband Fred Ibberson of Durham, and sister Staci Osborne and her husband Joey Osborne of Concord.
She is also survived by nephews Tyler Whitson and Rylan Whitson of Concord, Jessi Davis of Concord, Ella Beaver of Kannapolis, great nieces Kaydence, Zoey, Kira, and great nephew Grayson, all of Concord. She also leaves behind her furry niece Nova and her furry one eyed nephew Bucky.
Born March 4, 1957 in McKees Rocks, PA, a suburb of Pittsburgh, she developed her life long, and often times demented, love of all things Steelers. Upon her graduation from Northwest Cabarrus High School in 1975, Vicky took a job at the hospital in Concord, and through its many permutations and ownership changes still worked there over 50 years later. She and her cohorts Lynn, Susie, and Donna formed an incredible bond there that Vicky depended on daily.
She had an incredibly kind heart but also pulled no punches in telling you what she thought. She would gladly give someone the shirt off her back but then tell them they looked terrible in it. She loved to laugh. She loved animals, although she never learned to tell her brother’s beagles apart. She was a huge Swiftie and spent many nights over two years watching live streams of the Eras Tour as it traveled the world. And she never met a TikTok video that she didn’t feel compelled to forward to someone!
She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
There will be an informal Celebration of her Life (focus on laughter and not tears) Sunday, September 13 at The Wine Room at Afton Village, 5401 Village Drive, Concord. Drop in between 2-4. Wear your favorite Steelers or Taylor Swift attire!
Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Walsnovich family.
