Veta Litaker

Veta Little Litaker, 90, of Concord, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Tucker Hospice House after a heroic fight with cancer. The family will receive friends at Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church, 3600 US Hwy 601 South, Concord on Friday, November 2, 2012 from 1 until 2 PM. Funeral services will follow at the church at 2 PM, with Rev. Carrie Bishop officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Veta was born on August 8, 1922 in Stanly County, to the late J.C. Little and Minnie Barbee Little. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, R. Mack Litaker and son Dale Little Litaker. Veta was a homemaker and loved her family and her Lord, Jesus Christ. She also worked for over 23 years in the hosiery industry at Craftsman Finishers and Willis Hosiery. She was a wonderful cook, a great gardener, a skillful seamstress, and a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was a member of Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church. She is survived by; her daughter, Linda Litaker, of the home; her son, Robert G. Litaker of Charlotte; her grandsons, Darius Litaker and wife Lesley of Gastonia, and Brian Litaker and wife Dao of Concord; her granddaughter, Kelly Motley of Concord; and seven great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church 3600 Hwy 601 South Concord, NC 28025. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Litaker family.
