Velma Rozetta Hill Biggers

Velma Rozetta Hill Biggers, 92, of Concord, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Copperfield Health & Rehab in Concord.

Velma was born December 3, 1932 in Cabarrus County to the late Julius Bennett Hill and the late Mary Bell Russell Hill.

She was also preceded in death by husband, James Edward Biggers, Sr.

The family will receive friends from 10:00am - 10:45am, Wednesday, June 18, 2025 , at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will follow on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at 11:00am at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord's Miller J. Hartsell Memorial Chapel officiated by Pastor Jesse Watkins. Burial will immediately follow at the Carolina Memorial Park Kannapolis, 601 Mt. Olivet Road, Concord, NC 28025.

Survivors include children, James Edward Biggers, Jr. (Susie), David E. Biggers, and Karen Tanner (Timothy); grandchildren, Alan Biggers (Jessie) and Shane Biggers, Kristopher Biggers and Jarrett Biggers, Emily Dodson (Gary) and Joseph Tanner (Kassi); great-grandchildren, Peyton, Jayden, Greyson, Mason, Adalynn, and Caden.

Velma was a loving and devoted mother. She enjoyed working outside and loved flowers. She liked to point and tell Eddie what flowers he needed to plant for her. Velma loved her church family and Bible study and also enjoyed playing bingo.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
