Tommy Denning

Tommy Denning, 73 years of age, of Locust, passed away Monday, January 5, 2015 with his family by his side.

Tommy was born February 15, 1941 in Harnett County to the late Ezra Lee Denning and the late Bessie Mae Barnes Denning. He was also preceded in death by his second mother, Gladys Clayton Denning; and three siblings.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland. The funeral service officiated by Rev. Tommy Ross will be at 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 8, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Locust, 320 South Central Avenue, Locust, NC 28097. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Laura Denning of Locust; sons, Stephen Denning, and Michael Denning and wife, Tammy all of Albemarle, Fred Denning, Jr. and wife, Carol of Coats, and adopted son, Keith Sigmon of Albemarle; sister, Judy Denning Wood of Coats; brother, Linwood Denning of Coats; four grandchildren, Taylor, Jeremiah, Camryn, and Moriah, which were his pride and joy.
