Thomas Rogers Iii

Thomas Albert Rogers, 56, of Oakboro, passed away Friday, December 30, 2022 at Atrium Health Stanly Hospital in Albemarle.

Tommy was born February 12, 1966 in North Carolina to the late Thomas Albert Rogers Jr. and the late Bertha Rogers.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm, Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle.

If you truly knew Tommy "TR", he was a man of many thoughts and opinions which he enjoyed sharing with friends and family. He had a big heart for his family and friends and would do anything for others.  He was a true Tar Heel fan and went to many of their games and coached many from his favorite recliner. Tommy had a love for the beach and enjoyed spending hours sitting by the sea.

Survivors include sister, Beverly (Bobby) Thomas of Marshville, NC; nephew, Tyler (JoJo) Westall of Zebulon, NC; nieces, Brittany (TJ) Marshall of Monroe, NC and Alyssa Thomas of Chapel Hill, NC; grand nieces, Aria, Chandler and Scarlett Marshall; aunts, Elizabeth Edwards of Oak Island, NC, Kitty Schisler of Conway, SC and Jeanette Bartel of Laurel Hill, NC; and several beloved cousins.

Memorials may be made to the Tom and Bertha Rogers Scholarship Fund care of Oakboro First Baptist Church at 322 North Main St. Oakboro.
