Theresa (Terry) Campbell 91 died January 23, 2023, in Albemarle, NC.
She was born in Fort Benning, GA in 1932 to a Catholic family of nine children.
In (1951) she married, Robert (Bob) Campbell and they started off their life having two sons, Kevin Michael and Colin Scott and moving to Berlin. Terry became interested in cooking during this time and became an amazing chef through the years exploring many different types of cuisines. Ten years later, their youngest son John was born and they moved to Okinawa, while Bob served time in Vietnam. During this time, Terry became a mentor, friend, and confidante to numerous women whose husbands served under Bob during the war. Later the family moved to Ethiopia where Terry continued as a friend and mentor to the wives of other service members stationed abroad. She was an avid bridge player, gardener, and loving mother. She always served as a rock to members of her community. Someone you could always talk to and get an honest and compassionate answer from. She was giver and someone you could trust implicitly.
Terry was an active member of the choir at the Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church in Albemarle.
Terry is survived by her two sons and daughter in law and son in law, Kevin Michael Campbell, Harriett Puett Campbell and John Campbell and his husband John McCann and her two brothers Jim and Jerry Naehr and her two sisters Marge Webb and Betty Cooper.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 4th at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Annunciation 416 N. 2nd Street, Albemarle, NC, officiated by Father Fitzgibbons.
Memorials may be made to the Annunciation Church or Hospice of Stanly County.
