Thelma Britt

Thelma Jean Drye Hopkins Britt, 77, of 41486 Smiley Road, Albemarle, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2012. Born November 4, 1934 in Stanly County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Dry and the late Carrie Lee Kiker. She is survived by her daughters, Darlene Tew of Garner, NC and Debbie Hayes of Salisbury, NC; son, Dale Hopkins of Albemarle, NC; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She worked in the textile industry as a spinner. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Britt family.
