Terry Lamar Tucker

Terry Lamar Tucker passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025 at his home in Marshville, NC. He was born on July 30, 1957 in Stanly County, and was the son of the late JC & Juanita Tucker of Locust, NC.

He is survived by his wife of 38 wonderful years, Pama McMicken Tucker; 2 sons, Benjamin Tucker (Rylie) of Aquadale, and Samuel Tucker (Kate) of Boone; 2 grandchildren, Hattie and Ellis Tucker; 2 sisters, Rhonda (Donnie) Harwood of Locust and Monica (Sherrill) Yow of Stanfield; and multiple nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his precious baby boy, Jared Tucker, who he is now holding tight in his arms with the Lord.

Terry worked as a wood craftsman with his dad for many years before going to work at Charlotte Pipe & Foundry where he retired after 27 years. He made many friends along the way and many of those friends became family. Terry never met a stranger and everyone he met loved him. He had a sense of humor that would put a smile on every face. He would give the shirt off his back to anybody that needed it and never complained. He loved being outdoors working, doing chores at the barn, or just hanging out on the porch. Terry also had a passion in his heart for horses. He was the most genuine man you could ever meet.

His family remembers him as a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and steadfast friend. He loved his family more than anything in this world and would do anything for each and every one of them. His love was unconditional. His storytelling, jokes and “song writing” will be greatly missed.

He was a devoted member of Olive Branch Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon for many years. He was a God fearing man and there is no doubt he is walking the streets of gold. The family plans to honor Terry’s wishes and wear their best pair of blue jeans and boots. Visitation will be held between 2:00 pm - 3:00pm Saturday, January 3rd, 2026 at Olive Branch Baptist Church, 8804 NC Hwy 218, Marshville, NC with a funeral service directly after at 3:00pm officiated by Pastor Dr. Josh Callaway. A graveside service will be held directly after the funeral at Olive Branch Baptist cemetery.
