Sylvia Taylor

Sylvia Jean Taylor, 79, of Albemarle, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at her home in Albemarle.

Jean was born July 7, 1943 in North Carolina to the late Roy Blalock Sr. and the late Louise Blalock. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth Morton; second husband, Wheeler Taylor; brother, Roy Blalock, Jr.; and sister, Judy Barrier.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM - 1:45 PM , Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM in the Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel officiated by Rev. Don Burleyson.

Survivors include son, Randy (Angie) Morton of Albemarle; grandsons, Matt (Corey) Morton and Tad (Emily) Morton; granddaughters, Keri (Scottie) Mauldin and Krista (Corey) Fraley; great-grandsons, Brody and Luke Fraley; great-granddaughters, Corinne and Clara Morton.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly and the Uwharrie.
