Sylvia Morris

Sylvia R. Morris, 88, of Harrisburg, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2026.

Sylvia was born August 17, 1937, in Richmond, VA, to the late William Richardson and the late Belinda Muriel Harris Richardson. She was also preceded in death by her devoted husband of 65 years, Earl "Kenneth" Morris; sister, Wilma Austin; brother, William Richardson Jr.; and son-in-law, Wayne Meadows.

Sylvia spent 20 years working as a paralegal in Richmond, Virginia. She later served as an administrative assistant at the Horrack-Talley Law Firm for 40 years, retiring at the age of 86. She loved gardening, going to the beach with her family, and exemplified to all who knew her the true grace of a “Southern lady.”

Those left to cherish Sylvia's memory include her daughter, Linda Meadows; son, Michael (Cindy) Morris; four grandsons, Hunter (Brittani) Meadows, Brogan (Megan) Meadows; Garet (Amber) Morris, and Aaron (Cassie) Morris; seven great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, Riley, McKenna, Isabella, Lane, HalleRae, and Luke; and sister, Billiedale Vernon.

The Morris family would like to thank Sylvia's caregivers Maria, Deborah, Jackie, Kettia and Donna, as they did so much more than provide personal care, but love, compassion and support during this difficult time.
