Steven "Chase" Coleman, 41, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2026 at his residence in Stanfield. He was born January 4, 1985 in Monroe, North Carolina to the late Kenneth Wayne Coleman and Sherri Baucom Page.
Chase was the life of the party everywhere he went. He had a playful spirit, always saying or doing something silly to make others laugh. His generosity and compassion knew no limits, and he would help anyone in need, never hesitating to lend a hand or share his time and energy with those around him. He was an integral part of Coleman Industrial Services, leading not from behind a desk but by working alongside his team. He earned their respect through his dedication and loyalty, and all considered him a true friend.
Outside of work and his infectious humor, Chase had a deep passion for classic cars, enjoyed riding his side-by-side, and loved the days he could spend at the lake. Whether it was taking his beloved Mustang Cobra to car shows, checking off his list of riding trails, or relaxing at the beach or mountains, Chase cherished spending that time with family and friends. He was a devoted father, son, brother, grandson and best friend to many.
Chase is survived by his fiancé, Kayce Vaughan; son, Houston Coleman; future stepdaughter, Emma Vaughan; Houston’s mother, Krystle (Brandon) Thomas; mother, Sherri (Danny) Page; sisters, Elana Coleman (Dustin Furr), Chrissy Orbison, Stephanie Dobson; brother, Daniel Page; nieces, Taryn, Kaylin, and Marsi; nephews, Brayden and Niko.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m., Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland and will be officiated by Rev. Jody Wetta. Burial will follow at the Berea Baptist Church Cemetery at 100 Berea Baptist Church Road, Stanfield.
Chase will be deeply missed by his family, friends, colleagues, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on in the love he gave, the life he built, and the legacy he leaves behind.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith Alive Ministries, 216 W. North Street, Albemarle, NC 28001.
