Shirley Huneycutt

Shirley Jean McGinnis Huneycutt, 76, of Monroe passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at the Hospice House in Monroe. Mrs. Huneycutt was born April 2, 1936 in Union County to the late Harry Norman McGinnis and Faire Lee Pressley McGinnis. The family will receive friends from 3 – 4 p.m., Sunday, October 21, at Philadelphia Baptist Church, 12495 Philadelphia Church Road of Stanfield. The funeral service will be at 4 p.m. in the sanctuary officiated by Rev. Dwight Mabry. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Carl Kenneth Huneycutt, of the home; her son, Carl Douglas Huneycutt of Polkton; her daughter, Jean Leigh Furr of Marshville; and her grandchildren, Delaney Elizabeth Furr and Aaron Nicholas Furr.
