Sarah Simpson

Sarah Jane (Taylor) Simpson, age 84, of 315 Park Ridge Rd, Albemarle, N.C., died Sunday, July 12, 2009, at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle, N.C. She was born April 22, 1925 in Stanly County,NC. Mrs. Simpson was employed by Wiscassett Mills and was a member of First Baptist Church, New London, NC. She graduated from New London High School. Her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were her life. The family will meet at the home of Polly Almond, 207 Harwood St. Albemarle, NC She was the daughter of the late Marion Octavis Taylor and the late Ila Virginia (Carter) Taylor. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Simpson and son, John Henry Simpson, Jr. She is survived by her Daughter-Polly (Simpson) Almond of Albemarle, N.C. Daughter-Betty (Simpson) Helms and husband David of Port St. Lucie, Fla. Daughter-Louise (Simpson) Harward and husband Larry of Southern Pines, N.C. Sister-Mary Ellen Morgan of Wilmington, N.C. Eight grandchildren Ten great-grandchildren Five great-great grandchildren Arrangements are being handled by Hartsell Funeral Home - Albemarle, P. O. Box 7, Albemarle, N.C., where the family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM Wednesday, July 15, 2009. Funeral service will be at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel at 4:00 PM Wednesday, July 15, 2009 , Rev. Otis Goins officiating.
