Sara Elaine Tipton

Sara Elaine Tipton, 26, and her soon to be born daughter Maisie, passed away unexpectedly from pregnancy complications on Friday, April 3, 2026, at her home in Concord.

Sara was born August 10, 1999, in New York to Ted Lubeck and Kim Kologe. She spent her early years in Binghamton, NY, where she made many lifelong friends who shared her passion of horseback riding. Always an animal lover, she rescued her pup Willow before moving to North Carolina.

Sara was a devoted mother to son Jax, who entered Kindergarten this year. She made Jax her top priority and was dedicated to creating a loving and nurturing childhood that would set him up for a lifetime of happiness. Sara became friends with her husband Daniel as a teenager and through the last decade their relationship grew despite the long distance. Daniel relocated from Upstate NY to Concord in 2023 and the pair were wed in September 2023. Sara created a home with her best friend and love Daniel, where growing things could flourish surrounded by games and music. She enjoyed playing puzzle games online with her Nana, Nancy. Sara, Daniel, and Jax were excitedly looking forward to the birth of Maisie in May.

The memorial service will be on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord, 460 Branchview Drive NE, Concord, NC 28026; officiated by family & friends.

Sara is survived by her father Ted Lubeck, husband Daniel James Tipton, son Jax Lubeck, her grandmother Nancy Spigarelli Kologe, and in-laws Dan and Meredith, Heather and Ron. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She will be missed by her many friends around the country, as well as her canine companion Willow.

Sara was preceded in death by mother, Kim Kologe. Sara and Maisie are gone far too soon, and are deeply missed. Sara loved sunflowers - think of her when you see them. And when a bunny crosses your path remember Maisie.
