Samuel Blakely, Jr

Samuel Hunter Blakely, Jr., 80 years of age, of Indian Trail, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Carolina Medical Center Pineville-South in Charlotte.

Samuel was born June 25, 1934 in Florence, South Carolina to the late Samuel Hunter Blakely and the late Isla Coleman Blakely. He was also preceded in death by wife, Flora Mae Gasque Blakely in 2007.

A graveside service will be at 1:00 PM, Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Ora Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 23420 Highway 221 North, Gray Court, SC. The body will lie in state at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. .

He is survived by sons, Samuel Hunter Blakely, III and wife, Karen of Locust, Chris Blakely of Indian Trail; daughter, Celia Mikus and husband, Dave of Bell Buckle, TN; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
