Ruth Wynnyk

Ruth Lois Wynnyk, 88, of Concord, passed away Friday, April 5, 2013 at CMC-North East. Mrs. Wynnyk was born July 31, 1924 in Binghamton to the late Louis Stecker and the late Mary Stecker. She was an active member of Calvary Lutheran Church, The Ruth Circle and Carolando Extension Homemakers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her; husband of 45 years, Paul Wynnyk, Jr; brothers, Ralph and Edward; sisters, Helen and Marjorie. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 from 2:00 - 3:00 pm, at Calvary Lutheran Church, 950 Bradley St., NE, Concord. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm with Pastor Debbie Frye officiating. Burial will be at Carolina Memorial Park-Harrisburg, 12015 University City Blvd., Charlotte. Mrs Wynnyk is survived by her; twin daughters, Pam Prentice and her husband Dick and Paula Halliday and her husband Rick; grandchildren, Tim Prentice and his wife Melissa, Drew Prentice and his wife Corrie, Amy Prentice, Nicole Halliday and Dee Halliday; great-grandchildren, Lily, Matthew, Caden and one on the way; and sister, Betty Murphy.
