Ruth Ann Church Bryant

Ruth Ann Bryant, 82, of Charlotte, passed away Monday, May 19, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

Ruth was born October 13, 1942 in Maryland to the late Walter Grady Church and Annie Mae Church.

She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Mark Lee Bryant and son, Marty Bryant; sister, Gloria Deane Hudson of Jacksonville, FL; and brother, Jimmy Lee Church.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm, Sunday, May 25, 2025 at Hartsell Funeral Home, 13575 Broadway Ave, Midland NC 28107. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm officiated by Rev. Ed Harris and Bishop Andrew Flippo. She will be laid to rest at Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte, NC.

Ruth was a loving mother and grandmother to her family. She enjoyed cooking baking and sharing with friends and family. She was a competitive athlete and enjoyed playing softball and bowling. She loved Jesus and was a devout Christian. She was quick to speak her mind and never met a stranger.She was an avid shopper and loved jewelry. She was a beautiful soul, classy and always strived to look her best. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include, sisters, Mary Frances Caudle of Harrisburg, NC, and Sue Ellen McLean of Kannapolis, NC; daughter Karen Gordon (Chip) of Richburg, SC; son, Cavin Bryant (Nikki) of Stanfield, NC; 4 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
