Ruth Furr Brooks

Ruth Furr Brooks, of Midland, transitioned from life to life everlasting on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Brookdale Monroe Square. She recently celebrated her 105th birthday on Easter Sunday.

Mrs. Brooks was born April 5, 1921, in Stanly County to the late John Lee Furr and the late Dora Frances Furr. She was also preceded in death by husband, James Thomas Brooks, 6 brothers and 4 sisters.

Mrs. Brooks is survived by her loving and devoted daughter, Jan Brooks, of Midland and several nieces and nephews and extended family.

Services are private.
