Ruby Carolyn Taylor

Ruby Carolyn Taylor, 83, of Concord, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2026.

Carolyn was born September 11, 1942 in Concord to the late Verner Boyce Clontz and the late Radie Evelyn Burgess Clontz.

Carolyn was a graduate of Concord High School. She retired as a nursing assistant after 17 years. She enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach and mountains. Carolyn never met a stranger and loved trying new restaurants. She had a wonderful friendly personality and her smile would light up the room. Most of all, Carolyn was a loving and devoted wife and sister. She and Gary were best friends and were inseparable. Everybody loved Carolyn. She will be dearly missed and forever loved.

Survivors include beloved husband of 60 years, Gary Taylor of Concord; brother, Rick Clontz of Kannapolis; aunt, Flora Mae Martin of Fayetteville; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

A private burial will be held at Carolina Memorial Park Kannapolis, officiated by Pastor Scott Savage.
