Rose Burris

Rose Lucille Truesdale Burris, 95, formerly of Oakboro, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2012 in Agape’ Senior Rehabilitation Center in Rock Hill, S. C. Mrs. Burris was born October 19, 1917 in York County, South Carolina, to the late Henry Clyburn Truesdale and Caroline Obenonski Truesdale. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Grant Ephriam Burris, in 2002; her son, Richard Clyburn Burrage; her daughter, Barbara Jean Craig; and a grandchild, Dwayne Craig. The family will receive friends from 12 – 1 p.m., Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m., in the Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Stanly Gardens of Memory in Albemarle. Survivors include her son, Phillip Michael Burrage of Clarksville, Tenn.; her sister, Mary Wilson of Columbia, S. C.; grandchildren, Billy Joe Mullis, Jon Mullis, Delores White, Candyce Powers, Grant Craig, Sherry Fitzgerald, Donna May; 12 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Burris family.
