Rosalind A. Carpenter, 84 years of age, of Concord, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast.
Rosalind was born May 30, 1931 in Anson County, NC to the late Emmett and Pauline Crump. She was also preceded in death by husband, Cary Carpenter.
Mrs. Carpenter will lie in state from 12:15 pm - 12:45 pm, Sunday, November 15, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home Concord. A service from the graveside will follow Sunday at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis at 1:00 pm with Lynn Lawing speaking.
Survivors include son, Brand (Beverly) Carpenter of Concord, NC, daughter, Cynthia Halsey of Concord, grandson, Thomas Halsey of Concord, grandson, Aaron (Melanie) Halsey of Bath, NC, granddaughter, Melissa (Khuong) Nguyen of Charlotte, grandson, Scott (Daniela) Carpenter of Concord, Five Great grandchildren, Jacob Halsey and Ethan, Braydon, Maddox and Ana Nguyen, two sisters, Arlene Blalock and Sandra (Steve) Austin both of Norwood.
Rosalind was a great homemaker and loved to quilt, crochet and garden. Nanny was loved by all her family and will be greatly missed.
