Ronald Craig Whitley

Ronald Craig Whitley, 86, of New London, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center - Main in Charlotte.

Ronnie was born February 14, 1940, in North Carolina to the late Grover Whitley and the late Ramelle Sides Whitley.

He was also preceded in death by wife, Linda Misenheimer Whitley.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle NC.

Ronnie was a paratrooper in the 101rst Airborne in Division 506 Infantry at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He was avid in upholstery and worked in several industries, which included furniture manufacturing and automotives as the owner of Five Points Upholstery. One of Ronnie's favorite pastimes was spent fishing, hunting, and drinking coffee with his friends. But his most cherished moments were spent with his family.

Survivors include son, Shaun (Jill) Whitley, daughter, Renee (Allen) Creed; daughter, Kimberly (Jamie) Whitley , Son, Jeff (Terry)Whitley; grandchildren, Trisha (Joseph) Galyan, John Allen Creed, Cheyenne Whitley, Ashton Creed, Skylar Whitley, Keeli Chisom, and Kaila Chisom; great-grandchildren, Remmington Morton, Kinsleigh Morton, Stella Galyan, Waylon Galyan, Kelani Chisom, Scarlett Barber, and one on the way.

Donations may be made to Saint Jude's Children's Hospital.
