Ronald Franklin Dennis

Ronald Franklin Dennis, 77, of Albemarle, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, August 8, 2025 at Atrium Health Cabarrus Hospital in Concord.

Ronnie was born September 9, 1947 in North Carolina to Ethel Mae Shaver Dennis and the late Raeford Franklin Dennis.

He was also preceded in death by sister, Nancy Dennis Shaver Poole.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm, Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will follow on Saturday at 2:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel in Albemarle officiated by Pastor Drew Edmiston. Burial will immediately follow at the Anderson Grove Baptist Church Cemetery at 2225 East Main Street, Albemarle.

Survivors include wife of 54 years, Bobbie Jean Swaringen Dennis of Albemarle, NC; mother, Ethel Mae Shaver Dennis of Albemarle, NC; sister, Dora Dennis Efird; children, Philip Allen Dennis (Melissa) of Danville, VA, John Franklin Dennis (Sheila) of Albemarle, NC; Elizabeth Carol Dennis (Scott Vaughan) of Camden, NC, and Paul Raeford Dennis of Paige, TX; grandchildren, Steven, Tyler, Brandon, Cody, Courtney, Jasmine, Justin, Josline, Julian, Jacob, and Joseph; and great-grandchildren, Grayson and Willow Anne.

Ronnie was a man of many passions, most notably his love for collecting tractors and antiques-a hobby that brought him great joy and connection to the past. He found peace and purpose in gardening, tending to his plants with care until his health no longer allowed. Ronnie also had a deep appreciation for classic westerns, often spending quiet moments watching his favorite films. Above all, he held a steadfast love for Jesus and the church, which guided his life and brought him enduring strength and comfort.

Memorials may be made to Anderson Grove Baptist Church.
