Robert Herbert Dikeman

Robert Herbert Dikeman, 94, of Harrisburg, NC, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Concord Place Assisted Living Concord, NC. 

Robert was born March 8, 1929 in Woodside, New York to the late John Dikeman and the late Anna (Burns) Dikeman.   

He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Marilyn, his daughter, Patricia, his grandson, Nicholas Ambrosio, and his four brothers - Fred, David, Buddy, and Jimmy - and three sisters - Clarise, Anna, and Marion. 

Bob was a veteran of the Korean War and was a New York City Police Officer for 26 years. In his retirement, Bob spent his time enjoying his children and grandchildren, rooting for his New York sports teams, and living life to the fullest. 

Survivors include his daughters, Jennifer Dikeman (wife Elena Acero) of Westbury, NY, Marilyn Brinkley (husband Jim) of Oxford, NC, Ellen Kaiser of Harrisburg, NC, and Jean Ambrosio (husband Joe) of Harrisburg, NC, his sons, Robert (wife Julie) of Richland, WA, and George (wife Dee) of Needville, TX, his 13 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. 

An inurnment of cremains will take place in New York state at a later date.
