Richard Ingold

Richard Ingold, age 76 of 38925 Ingold Drive, Albemarle, passed away August 11, 2011 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle. The family will receive friends Saturday, August 13, 2011, from 6 to 8 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle. The funeral service will be Sunday, August 14, 2011, at 4 pm at Union Grove Baptist Church, Hwy #138, Albemarle, with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Lee Church will officiate. The family will be gathering at the home of his son, Tim Ingold, 27243 Crystal Road, Albemarle. . Born in Stanly county on July 11, 1935, he was the son of the late Grover Alexander and Annie Beatrice Talbert Ingold. He was preceded in death by one brother, Lane Ingold. A member of Union Grove Baptist Church, Mr. Ingold worked as a sheet metal mechanic for 50 years. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Londean Sue Russell Ingold of the home; three sons, Dan, Tim, and Chris Ingold, all of Albemarle; two daughters, Shelia Morton and husband Frankie of Troy, and Lisa Privett and husband Daniel of Biscoe;one brother, Bobby Ingold of Albemarle; six sisters, Mary Ann Dennis, Rosa Ingold, and Doris Marbry, all of Albemarle, Frances Drigger and Emma Drigger, both of Charleston, SC, Libby Schultz of Maryland, and very special friend, Ann Hoover. Surviving grandchildren are Sammy, Barry, and Danielle Ingold, Ashley Adair, Shalonda and Bruce Hileman, Crystal and April Hurley, Eric Ingold, Rachael and Casey Adams, Andy Lineberry, Steven Everheart, Samantha Jett, Heather Locklear, Lee Anne Privett, Christopher and Dana Miller, and Bradley Stroud. Thirteen surviving great grandchildren include Marshall, Destiny, Logan, Eliza, Lizzie, Izabell, Jacob, Dakota, Naveh, Mckenzie, Sophia, Kayla, Josie.
