Richard Fleischmann

Richard Wells Fleischmann, 76 years of age, of Albemarle, NC passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Carolina's Medical Center-Northeast in Concord, NC . Richard was born August 19, 1937 in Hackensack, NJ to the late Harold Frederick Fleischmann and Irene Mabel Carr Fleischmann. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at First Lutheran Church in Albemarle. The memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm, with Rev. John Futterer officiating. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Doris Rose Franke Fleischmann of the home; sons, Edward Fleischmann and wife Christine, and Thomas Fleischmann and wife Ilona, both of New Jersey; four grandchildren, Haley, Kyle, Brandon, and Devon Fleischmann, all of New Jersey; and brother, Douglas Fleischmann of Florida. Richard had been owner and operator of Telecom Service Consultants, and spent his career in the telecommunications industry. He was a faithful member of First Lutheran Church in Albemarle, and was very active in the Lutheran Men's Association and an enthusiastic member of the Stanly County Bee Keepers Association for many years. Richard also enjoyed working with the Community Inn Homeless Shelter. Memorials may be made to First Lutheran Parish Discretionary Fund, 230 S. Second St., Albemarle, NC 28001.
