Rex Furr

Rex Lamar Furr, 61 of Oakboro, passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2012. The graveside service will be on Friday, September 28, 2012 at Mineral Springs Baptist Church Cemetery at 2:00 pm. Rev. Keith Walters will officiate. Born June 11, 1951 in Stanly County, NC, he was the son of the late Leonard Lamar Furr and Marie Stewart Furr who survives. Mr. Furr loved his work as a farmer. He was more than a father, he was a friend. He was a hard worker who liked a job well done. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Melvin Furr. He is survived by his wife Judith Lynn Vaughn Furr of the home; and two sons Trent Furr and Patrick Furr. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the family.
