Rebecca Cornelia Broome Jones, age 62, of Concord, passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2012 at Carolinas Medical Center – North East. A memorial service, officiated by Rev. Charles T. Davis, will be held in the chapel of Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord on Thursday, August 16, 2012, at 4:00 p.m. Rebecca was born on December 22, 1949, to the late Warren and Inez Broome. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles William Jones. She is survived by a son, Charles “Casey” William Jones, III; and two nephews, Richard William Broome and James Lee Melton, all of Concord.
