Ray Barbee, Jr

Ray H. Barbee, Jr., 67, of 5080 Poplar Tent Road, Concord, NC passed away February 5, 2010, at Tucker Hospice House of Kannapolis. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, February 7, 2010 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord. Service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2010 at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel in Concord, NC. The service will be officiated by the Reverend Bob Grant, burial will follow at West Concord Cemetery. The family will be meeting at the home of Mr. Barbee, 5080 Poplar Tent Road, Concord, NC. Mr. Barbee was born February 21, 1942 in Cabarrus County to the late Ray Hall Barbee, Sr. and the late Margie Measimer Barbee. He was the owner and operator of Barbee Landscaping. He was a member of Concord Seventh Day Adventist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter- Melinda Montgomery. Survivors include his wife- Letty Osborne Barbee, children- Daniel Dabbs and his wife Tiffany of Concord, David Dabbs of Concord, Scotty Barbee of Kannapolis, Mark McManus and his wife Nancy of Concord, Robin Stancil and her husband Jeff of Concord, Vicky Jackson of Matthews, sister- Tina Culp of Concord and Kay Wise, seven grandchildren,and six great-grandchildren Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cabarrus County 5003 Hospice Lane Kannapolis, NC 28081, and American Cancer Society 6000 Fairview Road Charlotte, NC 28210.
