Randy Lance “R.C.” Collins, age 68, passed away after a brave, multi-year battle with cancer. Born on April 16, 1958, in Concord, North Carolina, to the late Billy Ray Collins and Joyce Collins, R.C. will be remembered for his gentle heart, his old hippie soul, and a spirit that found peace and purpose in the Lord during his final years.
A true free spirit, R.C. possessed a deep passion for Harley Davidson motorcycles, held a profound respect for Native American culture, loved all things tie dye and was rarely far from the legendary sounds of Jimi Hendrix. Above all, his journey led him to a place of spiritual reflection, where his faith provided comfort, grace, and light in his last years.
R.C. is survived by his daughter, Kayla Collins Herbert, her husband Trevor, and their daughter Avery; and his sister, Karen Novak.
He is preceded in death by his father, Bill Collins and Mother, Joyce Novak.
The family extends a special thank you to his pastor and longtime friend, Doug Hardin, who guided R.C. to the Lord and offered steadfast faith and support in his time of need.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date and will notify of the service arrangement through social media.
“The story of life is quicker than the wink of an eye, the story of love is hello and goodbye...until we meet again.” -Jimi Hendrix
