Rachel Love

Rachel Juanita Heglar Love, 86 years of age, of Stanfield, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2014 at her home. Mrs. Love was born December 1, 1927 in Cabarrus County to the late Homer Fitzgerald Heglar and the late Mamie Aileen Auten Heglar. She was also preceded in death by husband, Arthur Brown Love in 2008; daughters, Malia Schilling and Janice Allman; six brothers; two sisters; and grandson, Jamey Staton. Mrs. Love was employed with Cannon Mills for over 40 years. She was an independent person who loved to garden, be outdoors, and spend time with her family. Before her husband's death, they enjoyed trips to the coast where they loved to fish. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 pm, Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will be at 3 pm, Wednesday, June 25, 2014 in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel in Midland, officiated by Rev. Jim White. Burial will follow in the Love's Grove United Methodist Cemetery at 4360 Polk Ford Road, Stanfield. Survivors include daughter, Elaine (Dan) Staton Carter of Dallas; sisters, Pearl Elizabeth Bost of Concord and Eula Myrtle Rankin of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Bryan Evans, Tabatha Whitley, Crystal Beck, and Jeff Lumsden; and eight great-grandchldren.
