Prebble C. Henrickson

Prebble Jane Crowell Henrickson, age 85, of Concord, NC, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2026, at the Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis after an extensive fight with Internal Melanoma that had affected her stomach, lungs, and brain. She displayed nothing but bravery and determination through it all. 

Born on January 17, 1941, in Albemarle, NC, Prebble was the daughter of the late Roy Allen Crowell and Prebble Jane Kirk Crowell. She was also preceded in death by her three brothers, Charles, Joe, and SSGT Robert Crowell, a United Air Force retiree.

Prebble's professional career began as a secretary for Kimball Lutheran Church, advancing a financial broker, and then seven years of volunteer work with Hospice of Cabarrus County. For ten years Prebble was a presenter and a student recruiter for Kings College in Charlotte, North Carolina with the Becky Petersen Team. 

Prebble had an infectious smile with an outstanding personality that was second to none. Whether business or leisure, she was always the life of joy with everything she participated in. She would find the good in people and never met a soul she didn't like. She was a "diamond in the ruff", "the real deal", and "as cute as a button". She was always meticulously dressed, a good friend to many, and could tear up the dance floor shagging at "Fat Harolds" in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. 

Prebble is survived by the numerous loves of her life which include her grandchildren; Hunter, Mckenna, Avery, Bryce, Chloe, and Olivia. Her legacy lives on with the uncompromising love for her two sons; Eric and Ivan. And of course, her daughter in laws Aprille, Stacy, and Miria.

Receiving of friends will be held at Kimball Lutheran Church in Kannapolis on Sunday, July 26, from 2 pm - 3:45pm.  A Celebration of Life service to follow at 4 pm.
