Phyllis Ann Starnes McClure

Phyllis Ann McClure, 82, of Concord, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at Atrium Health Cabarrus Hospital surrounded by family and friends.

Phyllis was born August 21, 1941 in North Carolina to the late James Franklin Starnes Sr. and Margaret Hopkins Starnes. 

She was also preceded in death by her loving husband David George McClure Sr. and son, David George McClure Jr.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 12th, 2024 at 11:00 am at Carolina Memorial Park Kannapolis at Hwy. 29N and I85, Exit 58, Concord, NC 28025 officiated by Rev. Barry Shipp and Rev. Bill Balance. 

Survivors include daughter, Angela McClure Smathers of Concord, NC.; son, Daniel Lane McClure of Concord, NC; son, Mark Starnes; grandsons, John Lee Smathers and Matthew Smathers; nephew, Johnathan Starnes; as well as several nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
