Peggy Smith

Peggy Ann Smith, 81 years of age, of Concord, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Carolina's Medical Center NE in Concord, NC.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 7, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 pm.
The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Richard Wilson will be held on Monday at 1:00 pm at the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel in Concord, NC.
Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
At other times the family will meet at her home.

Peggy was born on March 18, 1933, to the late Willie Adam Wensil and the late Pearl Irene Huffman Wensil. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Lee Leatherman; two brothers, and a sister. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She was a member and co-founder of Calvary Foursquare Church on Linden Ave. in Concord. She also visited the elderly in nursing homes as long as her health permitted.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Ralph Dewey Smith, Sr.; a son, Ralph Dewey Smith, Jr. and wife Linda; three daughters, Angela Leatherman and husband George; Janet Vance and husband Curtis and Beverly Martin and husband, Bobby; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, and two sisters.
