Peggy Ann Comer

Peggy Ann Comer, 86, of Albemarle, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Woodhaven Court in Albemarle.

Peggy was born September 18, 1939, in North Carolina to the late Horace Page and the late Bertha Harwood Page.

She was also preceded in death by husband Darrell Comer; and sister, Dolly Little.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 10:45 am, Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at East Albemarle Church of God. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 am officiated by Rev. Harry Harward. Burial will follow at the Fairview Memorial Park at 1425 East Main Street, Albemarle.

Peggy was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She had a green thumb like her mother, and was always found working in her garden when she wasn't at work, where she and her husband owned and operated Albemarle Pool Supply. Peggy was also an avid painter, and found joy in cooking for family. But her real passion in life was serving the Lord. She sang praises to the Lord at East Abemarle Church of God and was always listening to gospel music, especially from 89.3 Joy FM. She was an outstanding woman who diligently served the Lord and her community, and will be sorely missed by all who were blessed to know her.

Survivors include daughter, Kimberly (David) Harward; Todd (Jill) Comer; grandchildren, Daniel (Kate) Comer, Shannon Harward, Jacob (Holly) Comer, Andrew Harward; great-grandchildren, Ty and Aly Speight, Memphis and Beau Comer, and Tory Comer; sister, Betty Lisk; and brother Johnny Page; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
