Paul Joseph "Joe" Williams

Paul Joseph "Joe" Williams, 89, of Harrisburg, NC passed away Monday, April 27, 2026 at TerraBella - Harrisburg in Harrisburg, NC.

Joe was born October 5, 1936 in St. Paul, Virginia to the late Samuel Williams and the late Vera Dean Williams.

He was also preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Bertha Williams in February of 2026; and sisters, Sona King and Lynn Dickenson.

Survivors include son, Mark Williams and wife Teresa of Concord, NC; son, Joe Williams and wife Judy of Concord, NC; granddaughter, Alisha Auten; grandsons, Sam Williams, Philip Williams, Adam Williams and David Williams; as well as great grandchildren, Mckenzie, Caleb, Graham, Eli and Harris.

Joe married the love of his life, Bertha Williams, on December 23rd, 1958. He spent his career working as a salesman for the building industry. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Army. Joe was a longtime member of Harrisburg United Methodist Church, and the Harrisburg Lions Club. He loved spending time at Oak Island on the North Carolina Coast. He will be dearly missed.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:15 pm, Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service with military honors will follow at 2:30 pm in the funeral home chapel, officiated by Rev. Rob Hutchinson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Harrisburg Lions Club in Joe's memory.
