Oseda McClure Clontz, 100 years of age, of Concord, passed away Monday, October 26, 2015 at Avante Nursing Home of Concord.

Oseda was born September 3, 1915 in Concord North Carolina to the late Lawson Randolph McClure and the late Auta Bell Coley McClure. She was also preceded in death by her husband, J.Z. (Johnny)Clontz in 1990; her daughter, JoAnn Smith Clontz Hatley; five brothers, Carl McClure, William McClure, Worth McClure, Coy McClure and Larry McClure; five sisters, Clare McClure Bost, Mahala Rowland, Elsie Love, Marie Vanderburg and Edith Turner.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm, Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be Thursday at 3:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Chapel of Concord, officiated by Rev. Bob Paige and Rev. Eddie McClure. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis.

Survivors include grandchildren, Tony Miller of Concord, Stephen Miller of New Braunfels, TX, Angela Hatley of Concord, Tommy Clontz of Louisville KY and Melody Shephard of Cincinnati Ohio; great grandchildren, Justin Miller and Amanda Miller both of Wilmington NC, Caroline and Catherine Miller of New Braunsfels TX, Barry, Scott and Tom Pettyjohn of Cincinnati Ohio, Jeremy and Christopher Clontz of Louisville KY and Tommy Jon Clontz of Paris KY; one brother, Charlie McClure of Kannapolis, NC; two sisters, Sadie McClure Riley Eudy of Mt. Pleasant, NC and Marcell McClure Cox of Flower Mound TX.

Oseda worked for Locke Mill and Shannon Hosiery and volunteered for over 50 years at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital from 1954 to 2005. She graduated from Bethel High School class of 1934. Oseda was recently honored at her 100th birthday party by special recognition by Concord Mayor Scott Padgett and Concord City Councilman Lamar Barrier. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Concord.
