Novella Morton

Novella “Pete” Morton, 87, of Albemarle, passed away, Friday, November 9, 2012 at her home. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home, on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. The funeral will follow at Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel at 11:00 am. Rev. Ron Honeycutt will officiate and the burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Park. Born February 25, 1925 in Stanly County, NC, she is the daughter of the late Wiley Jerome Lambert and the late Scrappie Lowder Lambert. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Craven Coolidge Morton in 1969, two brothers and nine sisters. She is survived by her son, Craven C. Morton, Jr. and wife Vee of Norwood, NC; sister, Mrs. Beulah Mabe and husband Claudie, both of Albemarle; and grandson, Charles Morton of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. She was a homemaker and a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 N. First Street, Albemarle, NC 28001
