Nellie Jeanie Floyd

Nellie Jeanie Floyd, 84, of Kannapolis, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Big Elm Retirement & Nursing Center in Kannapolis.

Jeanie was born May 24, 1942 in Union County to the late Daniel Alexander Floyd and the late Della Jane Hinson Floyd. She was also preceded in death by son, Donald Ray Floyd; brother, Harold Alexander Floyd; and sisters, Nancy Lothelah Kearns and Ruby Irene Whitley.

Jeanie was a loving and caring person, always bringing gifts to people. She loved her family, all animals and her "babies" (stuffed animals). She was a strong lady, hard worker and good cook. Jeanie loved to shop and go fishing. She enjoyed living at Mount Pleasant House and Big Elm.

Survivors include her sisters, Mary Anna Barbee of Concord and Flossie Passmore of Davidson; and several nieces and nephews.

Jeanie will be laid to rest beside her son at Carolina Memorial Park Kannapolis during a private committal service.
