Nancy Lambert

Nancy Burleson Lambert, 76 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle. Mrs. Lambert was born August 26, 1937 in North Carolina to the late Therlow Burleson and the late Pauline Furr Burleson. She was also preceded in death by husband, Gene Lambert, brother, Lamar Burleson. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle. The funeral service will be on Thursday at 11:00 am at North Albemarle Baptist Church and will be officiated by Pastor Brad Lynch.Burial will follow at the Stanly Gardens of Memory at 2001 East Main St., Albemarle. Survivors include son, John (Cynthia) Kirk of Albemarle, NC, daughter, Donna (Guy) Peters of Charlotte, NC, brother, Calvin (Tammy) Burleson of Albemarle, sister, Lovell Mauldin of Albemarle, step-daughters, Vickie (Jeff) and Connie of New London, Grandchildren, Elisabeth and Joshua Peters, great-grandson, Trey Keable. Nancy will be remembered as a loving mother and talented homemaker whose cooking, baking, seamstress, and crafting skills were a blessing to everyone who enjoyed her delicious meals and beautiful handiwork. After a battle with Alzheimer’s disease, she is now at peace in heaven with her Lord Jesus Christ. The family would like to especially thank the caregivers and staff at Forrest Oakes Nursing Home, Stanly Regional Medical Center, and Woodhaven Court in Albemarle; Preston House Memory Care in Charlotte; and Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center in Thomasville, NC.
