Morris Ruby

Ruby (Ailey) Morris, age 95, of Albemarle, N.C., died Wednesday, May 27, 2009, in Martinsville, VA. She was a member of First Baptist Church - Albemarle. Ruby was a life long homemaker with special interests in sewing garments, knitting, crocheting, cross stitching, and tatting. Vegetable and flower gardening were also an important part of her life. John and Ruby were known for their love of growing roses and sharing them with neighbors and friends. Born in Jefferson County, Tn, she was the daughter of the late Arthur "A.R" Ailey and the late Lula (Newman) Ailey. She was also preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Morris in 1980, brother, A.R. Ailey and sisters, Alene Hoskins and Beulah Ailey. She is survived by her Daughter-Janice M. Sellers and husband Glenn of Martinsville, Va. Daughter-Joanna M. Morgan and husband Judge of Oakboro, N.C. Grandchildren-Donna M. Moore, Carolyn S. Mashburn, CDR Charles L. Sellers and Judge Morgan III. Nine great-grandchildren Arrangements are being handled by Hartsell Funeral Home - Albemarle, P. O. Box 7, Albemarle, N.C., where the family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:15 PM Saturday, May 30, 2009. Funeral service will be at First Baptist Church, Albemarle at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 30, 2009 , Dr. Mike Hatfield, pastor of Chatman Heights Baptist Church, Martinsville, VA. officiating. Interment will be at Fairview Memorial Park in Albemarle, N.C. Memorials may be made to First Babtist Church of Albemarle, 202 N.
