Miner Mae Burris Lancaster, 89 years of age, of Stanfield, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Stanly Manor in Albemarle.
Miner was born April 15, 1926 in Stanly County to the late George Broadus Yow and the late Bertha Elizabeth Burris Yow. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Alonzo Lancaster; son, Willie Gerald Burnette; and grandson, Johnny Wayne Burnette, Jr..
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Monday, June 1, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland. The graveside service, officiated by Rev. Dr. Darrell Nance and Larry Eudy, will be at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Kinza Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery, 4311 Love Mill Rd., Stanfield. The family will be meeting at the home of her granddaughter, Betty Brown, 834 Brevard Dr. in Albemarle.
She is survived by her son, Johnny W. Burnette, Sr. of Stanfield; six grandchildren, Betty Burnette Brown, Patty Burnette, Lucy Burnette, Melinda Shaver, Judy Turner, Charity Moss, 12 great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren.
