Mildred Calloway

Mildred Cena Calloway, 81 years of age, of Concord, went to be with her Lord on Friday, February 12, 2016.

Millie was born April 23, 1934 in Locust, NC to the late Willie Franklin and Zelma M. Hartsell Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph William Calloway. Survivors include her son, Roger Maree of Concord, NC; and several step-children and step-grandchildren.

Millie was an avid gardener. She loved taking care of the grounds at the church. Millie served as hostess at several local restaurants, the last being Olive Garden at Concord Mills. She and her husband Ralph had a special love for one another.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord, with the funeral service to follow at 3pm, officiated by Rev. Jeff Burris. A private burial will take place at a later time.
