Michael James Ward, 62 years of age, of Harrisburg, NC, formerly of Buffalo, NY passed away Monday, December 29, 2014.
Mike was born August 1, 1952 in Buffalo, NY to the late Richard James Ward and the late Evelyn (Nischick) Ward.
He was also preceded in death by his brothers Dennis, Richard and Eugene; and his sister Constance.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm, Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. A memorial service will immediately follow at 3:00 pm officiated by Chaplain Steve Park.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Jo Ward of Harrisburg, NC; daughter Jacqueline Sabo and husband Peter; daughter Teresa Ward; daughter Mary Jo Tunyiswa-Ward and husband Zwelithini; daughter Julie Ward; grandchildren Amanda Ward, Jackson Sabo, Carley Payne, Nodumo, Vela and Zwai Tunyiswa-Ward; sisters Evelyn Newton, Odella Knell, Maryann Traufler and Kathy Waggoner.
