Michael Burrage

Michael Flynn Burrage, 70, of Misenheimer, passed away at home on Wednesday, May 31, 2023.

Michael was born February 26, 1953, in Stanly County, to the late Flynn and Betty Burrage.

Michael retired from Schultz (formerly Oakwood Homes) Manufacturing after more than 30 years of service.  He was a member of the Village of Misenheimer Council for many years.  He was a lifelong member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.  Michael enjoyed cooking, gardening, and going to the beach with his family.  He would always support his sons and grandkids at sporting events.  Most of all, Michael was a loving husband, dad, Papaw, and brother.

Survivors include beloved wife of 48 years, Debby Burrage of Misenheimer; son, Ahren Flynn (Alicia) Burrage of Misenheimer; son, Justin Michael (Vickie) Burrage of Dover, PA; sister, Marsha Safrit of Richfield; and grandchildren, Jaxson Flynn, Kaleb Michael, Eliza Gale, and Aubrey Lynn.

The memorial service in celebration of Michael's life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Wesley Chapel UMC, 46963 Wesley Chapel Rd., Misenheimer.  The family will receive friends following the service.
