May Frances Cash Blue
Mrs. Blue, age 95, of Morehead Road, Harrisburg passed away April 2, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Blue was born January 26, 1920 in Fulton County, GA to the late Lawrence H. Cash and Ruby Fain Cash.
She was a graduate of William A. Russell High School, East Point, GA and attended Georgia Evening College (now, Georgia State University) in Atlanta, GA. In 1947 she married John Marshall Blue and moved to North Carolina where she spent the remainder of her life as a loyal wife, homemaker, mother, friend and employee. She retired in 1984 from Sears Roebuck and Co. after 17 years of service.
During her lifetime, she served as Sunday school teacher, vacation Bible school teacher, women of the Church circle chairman, Secretary and President. She was currently a member of Harrisburg Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Blue is survived by a daughter, Mary Blue Wagoner and her husband Keith, of Concord; step grandson, Thomas Wagoner of Charlotte; step granddaughter, Sarah Taylor of New Mexico; two sisters, Margaret Davis, College Park, GA and Jeanette Hindman of Austell, GA; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Marshall Blue and son, John Patrick Blue, II, also a sister, Helen Collins; brothers, Harold Cash and Charles Cash.
Graveside service will be held at Cypress Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Cameron, NC on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 1:00pm. Family and friends can gather at Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord on Monday, April 6, 2015 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm.
