Max Howard

Howard Max Furr, age 82, of 41032 Dennis Road, Albemarle, NC, passed away on August 14, 2011 at Carolina Medical Center, Charlotte, NC. No services are scheduled. Mr. Furr was born in Stanly County on May 8, 1929, to the late Earl Lemuel Howard and the late Myrtle Dare Furr Howard. He is survived by his wife, Helen Marie Cadle Howard, of the home; son, Terry R. Howard of Albemarle; daughters, Sherry H. Wood of Conover, SC and Debbie H. Barbee of Little River, SC; step-daughter, Angela Murphy. Mr. Furr proudly served his country in the US Army and retired as a Supply Sargent after 20 years of service. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Howard family.
