Mary Crowell Watkins, 82 years of age, of Charlotte, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2016 at her home with family and friends surrounding her.
Mary was born October 25, 1933 in Cabarrus County, NC to the late William Vann Crowell and the late Leila Eunice Pope Crowell.
She was also preceded in death by her brothers Henry Crowell and Judson Crowell; as well as sisters Ella Clontz and Kimmie Johnson.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, R. Carey Watkins; son Robert Watkins; son Lynn Watkins and wife Shawn; daughter Cindi Varnadoe and husband Frankie; grandchildren Heidi, Nathan, Emily, Erin, Matthew and Ashley; brothers Bill Crowell and Jesse Crowell; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials in Mary's name may be made to the charity of one's choice.
