Mary Richardson

Mary Ann Tymczyszyn Richardson, 52, dedicated wife and loving mother, passed away unexpectedly on December 31, 2014 in Concord NC.

Mary was predeceased by her parents Nadia and John Tymczyszyn. She is survived by her beloved husband of 27 years, James E. “Bo” Richardson III, and three children; Alexandra “Alexa” Catherine, Kelly Nicole, and James E. “Jamie” Richardson IV, all of the family home in Davidson NC; three sisters, Anne Tymczyszyn and Sonia Kehl (William) of Sarasota FL and Christine Liddawi (Michael) Colonia NJ; one brother Michael Tymczyszyn of West Palm Beach FL; and nine nieces and nephews and extended family.

Mary was born in East Orange NJ on October 8, 1962, and grew up in a wonderful Ukrainian household with in Roselle NJ. Mary graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1985, and married Bo in 1987. She lived in Virginia Beach VA during his naval career, and moved to the beautiful farming village of Chambersburg, PA in 1989 where she began her family and had her three children, while she completed her MBA at Frostburg State University. Following her husband’s career change, she moved her family to Cabarrus County in year 2000. Mary dedicated her life to raising her three children, doing her utmost to give her children the fullest life possible. She completed her paramedic training at Rowan Cabarrus Community College and holds credentials as a North Carolina Paramedic, CPR Instructor, Pediatric Advanced Life Support Instructor and International Trauma Life Support Instructor. Mary joined Cabarrus County EMS in July 2011 as a part-time Paramedic where she also assisted in professional education and CPR classes throughout the county. Mary was recognized by Cabarrus County EMS with the 2013 Star of Life Award in recognition of service excellence. Her volunteer activities included work with the Cabarrus County School System and she was a key figure in the start-up of the Concord High School Lacrosse Team.
Mary was a brilliant shooting star who passed through this world much too quickly. She adored her husband and children, and she touched so many lives in her extended network of close personal friends and neighbors, Victory and Charlotte Allstar Cheer families, Cabarrus Clash and Miners lacrosse families, her Cabarrus EMS family, and her extended Edward Jones family.

A memorial service will be held for Mary at Hartsell Funeral Home 460 Branchview Dr NE at 3:00 pm on Sunday, officiated by Pastor James Metsger.

The family would appreciate any donations to the Cabarrus County EMS 31 Willowbrook Dr. NE, Concord, NC 28027 in her name.
