Mary Margaret Troutman

Mary Margaret Troutman, 79, of Mount Pleasant, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2023 at the Greens of Cabarrus in Concord.

Mrs. Troutman was born June 14, 1944, in Stanly County, North Carolina to the late Bill Arnold Almond and the late Effie Pearl Almond. 

She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gerald Don Troutman; brother, Malcolm Dean Almond; brother, Lee Almond; brother, Carl Almond; brother, Clinton Almond; brother, Coy Almond; brother, Rayon Almond; sister, Ruby Smith; sister, Rachel Huneycutt; and sister, Lucille Eudy.

Margaret was a very kind and loving woman who always kept God first in all that she did. At a young age, she worked in mills to provide for her family and ended working for the school system.  She spent her days playing with her grandkids which meant the most in the world to her, spending time with her friends at Hardee’s of Mt. Pleasant and the Lunch Plus program and attending church. While she loved her family beyond measure, she loved her church and church family dearly. She will definitely be missed. 

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Miami Baptist Church in Concord. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the sanctuary and be officiated by Pastor Lewis Whittington. Burial will follow at the Miami Baptist Church Cemetery at 6701 Miami Church Rd, Concord.

Survivors include son, Donald Joe Troutman (Kristy Troutman) of Mt. Pleasant, NC; granddaughter, Kyra Troutman and grandson, Memphis Troutman, both of Mt. Pleasant, NC.
